Odds and Payout

Odds & Payout - How can I win a prize?

EuroMillions has fourteen prize tiers that you win by matching the numbers on your ticket to the winning numbers drawn. You can win a prize by matching any one number chosen but you must match all five main numbers plus the 2 Lucky Stars to win the jackpot. Below you'll find all about the different ways to win, the odds of winning and how to claim any prizes.

Odds of Winning

The prize you win depends on how many of the winning numbers you match. The table below shows what you need to do to win in each tier, the odds of doing so, and the prize amounts before tax. Your overall chances of winning any EuroMillions prize are around 1 in 22.

If there are no winners in a Prize category (except Jackpot category), the prize money allocated to that Prize category will be added to the next lower Prize category where there is at least one winner. If there are no winners for any Prize category, the money will be added to the Jackpot Prize Fund for the next EuroMillions Draw.

EuroMillions Super Draws

In the event of EuroMillions Super Draw, a 42% proportion of the Common Prize Fund allocated to the Jackpot category will be for that EuroMillions Draw.

If the Super Draw is a Super Minimum Jackpot Guarantee Draw, the allocation to the Jackpot category will stay at 42% for the remaining EuroMillions Draws in that roll series (i.e. until the Jackpot is won or until, and including, the fifth EuroMillions Draw in which the Jackpot is at the Jackpot cap level).

Prizes are paid as per the underlying lottery results. Only one prize category can be won per order, which will be the highest of the available prize categories achieved by, and relevant to, that order.

Is EuroMillions Taxed?

The HM Revenue & Customs does not require taxation on any prizes won, so rest easy!
